Day 1

Arrival at Tunis or Monastir Airport. Transfer to an hotel in Hammamet, Sousse, Port El Kantaoui, Skanes/Monastir or Mahdia for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 : Kairouan / Sbeitla / Tozeur

From your hotel you head for the holy city of Kairouan and a visit to the historic monuments in this ancient city, including the Great Mosque, the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi, the Aghlabide pools and the Medina. Continue to Sbeïtla for lunch followed by a visit to the magnificent ruins, before heading south to Tozeur for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Tozeur / Chebika / Tamerza / Mides

This morning you will discover the lovely mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides before returning to Tozeur for lunch. The afternoon gives you the opportunity to explore Tozeur’s beautiful old town. Dinner and overnight stay in Tozeur

Day 4 : Tozeur / Chott El Jerid / Douz / Matmata

After breakfast you will cross the immense salt lake Chott El Jerid, en route for Douz, the ‘gateway to the Sahara’, and then continue to Matmata with its lunar landscape and homes built into the earth. You will have a chance to visit a troglodyte dwelling. Dinner and overnight stay in Matmata.

Day 5 : Matmata / Gabes / El Jem / Your hotel

Leaving Matmata you head for the coast and visit Gabes, with its colourful spice market. From here you start making your way north, via Sfax to El Jem for a visit to its outstanding Roman coliseum. Continue to hotel of your choice in Hammamet, Sousse, Port El Kantaoui, Skanes/Monastir or Mahdia for dinner and overnight stay.

Departure from your hotel to Monastir or Tunis Airport
